We feel that we really need to pray for Christians in Parliament, and wondered whether you would be able to tell us where to find such a list. At this time, when our faith is constantly being pushed aside and downgraded, we need to stand up and be counted where it matters. Therefore we need all the more to pray for those of integrity who are trying to make a difference.
We met Baroness Cox last year when she was over in Portugal and led talks in various venues organised by the Algarve Prayer Chain.
We will be most grateful for any help you can give us to discover this information.
We believe there is a Christian organisation within Parliament itself – is this so?

Terrye, I just finished reading your book, The Mantle of Elijah, The Martyrs of Compiegne, which I purchased off of Amazon. I most certainly do hope you can reissue the booklet.. I also appreciated Fr. Sal’s work in it. Pat H.

My children play with many varieties of Jews and Christians ( who all have different ideas of what being a Christian requires). On a given day I might have Jews and Muslims playing basketball out front and Hindus and Irish Catholics playing football with Buddhists and Methodists out back. This is the world of the 21st Century.

They know and respect each other and demand for each of their friends the same right to make religous choices which they desire for themselves. The right to make their own choice, even if it is a mistake, is how they respect their neighbor just as they would be respected.

To these kids, anyone who seeks to enforce a religion through the laws is the enemy. Anyone who thinks they can create a more “holy” state by neglecting this respect for others, this love for ones neighbors, is inherently misguided, and doomed to end up with a place like Iran, where the enforcement of the faith requiers tyranny, and tyranny in the name of God doesn’t always bring one closer to Him.

My name is Cheryl Solis and I am a Catholic artist in Savannah, GA. I am writing because I have my gallery now online, and one of the special paintings is of Blessed Miguel Pro. I learned about him many years ago while reading “Modern Saints”, and have been a devotee of him and his cause ever since. Blessed Miguel Pro has helped me many times when times were difficult–I have felt his influence and presence in my life and, subsequently have told many people about him. While living in Beijing– a dream of a lifetime, to which I credit, in part, the divine help of Father Pro–I made Blessed Miguel a promise that I would paint his portrait and tell his story to others. I created a portrait of him, including an image of his martyrdom and various emblems of his life, and have put that portrait–and a short biography–on my gallery website, Angel Illuminations.

A Letter to the Rulers of the nations

“To all mayors and consuls, magistrates and rulers throughout the world, and to everyone who may receive these letters: Brother Francis, your little and despicable servant in the Lord God, sends [his] wishes of health and peace to all of you.
Pause and reflect, for the day of death is approaching (cf. Gen 47:29). And if you do not do this, know that you must render an account before the Lord your God, Jesus Christ, on the day of judgment (cf. Mt. 12:36).

No, you were not absent; the information was. And once you begin to delve into actual history, the great gaps in our education appear. As I recall, even in college, in World History we jumped from the late Roman Empire to the early Renaissance, with nothing in between but a muttered “Dark Ages.”

I found this site while searching for information about the painting, above, of the Carmelite martyrs. I want to reissue the booklet The Mantle of Elijah: The Martyrs of Compiègne as Prophets of Modern Age, with all the footnotes and additional material, and I’d like to use this picture as the cover illustration.

Anyone know the artist? I understand it is the painting used in the Vatican when the martyrs were declared “Blessed,” but I’ve not tracked down the title or how to obtain permission for use.
